Welcome!
I am a psychotherapist. When people ask me what I do, I usually say, "I talk to people who are sad about how they can be happier."
You may not be sad, though if you are reading this, you probably are.
You may feel stuck in a particular area of your life. You don't know why you keep thinking about awful stuff you've been through, or you can't eat in healthy way, or why you keep vowing to get out and have some fun on the weekend but never do, or why you find it hard to talk to people, or why you keep having the same fights with your partner, or why you can never meet anyone who might be right for you.
You may know exactly what the problem is, but not know how to solve it. You may be struggling with anxiety, or want to come out but you're not even sure what that really means, or you've discovered a new kink that you have very mixed feelings about, or you feel stuck in your work life, or every time you got to visit your parents, you feel terrible, and for a while afterwards too.
You may feel like your life is good, but somehow, it doesn't seem to be making you happy.
You may not have any idea what is wrong, just that this can't be as good as it gets, can it?
You may just desperately want to talk to someone who won't judge you or tell you what to do. Or you might want to talk to someone who has some useful ideas about what you could do, because you've felt stuck for a long time.
I talk to all of those people and more, and working together we can often make some wonderful changes.
